Geocache Description:

Welcome Geowoodstock X early birds to one of Kentucky's most beautiful forest. Bernheim Forest is a privately owned Arboretum & Research Forest. It is a great example of the Geocaching Community and land owners working closely together. This park is very Pro-geocaching.

We will meet at the Visitor Center at Bernheim Forest on May 22, 2012 at 10:30am. You are welcome to visit for as little or as long as you like. Isaac's Cafe starts serving a light sandwich menu at 11:00am. If you plan to eat there please put the number that plans to eat in your "will Attend" log that way they will have the staff and food needed. There is no obligation to eat, you can just come by and say hi if you want.

While at the Visitors Center I will give you a little information on GWX and then you are welcome to check out the many exhibits and see this award winning Green building up close. After the meet and greet and lunch, those who would like, will drive up into the forest and take a two mile hike on the Jackson-Yoe Loop trail. This hike has several hills and is rated moderate. This event is a rain or shine event, so dress accordingly.

There is a booth as you enter the park, but there is no fee on the weekdays, if you want to come back on a weekend the fee is $5 a car.

See Bookmark list on this page for the caches along our hike.
