Collegedale Evolution



It was a big day in Collegedale history on February 17, 2012 as Apison Pike got direct access to Exit #9 on Interstate 75.

Leaders from Chattanooga, Collegedale and Hamilton county, as well as representatives from TDOT and McKee Foods, and the local media were among those present for the 10 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony.

This cache was placed mere hours after the roadway officially opened. Will traffic be heavy? Yes. Can you safely access the cache? Yes.

Edit March 2025: With the recent opening of QuikTrip, this cache can be safely accessed by parking at QT, and walking to GZ.
