Geocache Description:

The Small One

The bore hole for the village was dug next to the road around 1800 and the current pump dates back to the early 1900's. The well provided water for the village until the beginning of WW2. The old well (circa 1500s) can be found half way down the adjacent footpath (now hidden behind an old wooden board to the right of the path not coincidentally called Well Lane) towards the Reservoir and is the direction in which you will need to go to find Part Two.

Please do not swing on the old pump - A very good friend of mine broke his leg when we were kids doing just that!!

The terrain rating is only a one and thus accessible to wheelchairs but please take care as it is next to a busy(ish) road.
