Down By The River Traditional Cache

This is a short walk that may not be known to many people, even in the town, but which takes you to the opposite side of the river from the more well-known walk at Mayfield. Be mindful that the river levels may make the path by the riverside inaccessible at times of flood. Otherwise, a lovely walk in all seasons. Start from either Sprouston Road at the old lodge house or from Pinnaclehill Park.
A bit of a scramble will be required to get up to the cache and, especially, back down again.
Cache is a small plastic box containing an assortment of small goodies and a log.
