Geocache Description:

At 1:20:44 p.m. on May 4, 1961, something happened at the Sunshine Motel outside of Gallup, New Mexico. This is referred to as "the Event" and is thought to be the reason for the unusual properties of the Room and the Objects from within it. At the time of the Event, the motel was in serviceable condition, holding ten rooms before the event and only nine afterwards. A number of Objects were in the room at the time of the Event, approximately 100. Many of these Objects now hold special powers for an unknown reason. I have been searching for these Objects for years and have recently found a new way to have others help in the search.

Bus Ticket # 11560 possesses a strange property in that when it is touched to a person's skin, that person is transported to U.S. Route 66 outside of Gallup, New Mexico. This town is referred to as the "center of the universe", as it is the origination point for all the Objects. Those transported fall from the sky and land face first at just enough speed for the impact to be disorienting but not harmful. So far I have been unable to locate the Bus Ticket, but I have uploaded a copy of it I found many years ago. It may be helpful in your search.

Recently, I have heard reports of Objects appearing within southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee, but I have not searched these areas yet. That is why I am seeking the help of geocachers as I hear they are quite adept at finding hidden things. Of course, I can not simply give away the location of these Objects, so a bit of puzzle solving work will be required. The coordinates I have listed for this Object will bring you near the location, and near a good place to park for your search.

The Objects are often difficult to locate, but seem to be drawn to one another. They also have a tendency to disappear quickly, so if you search the area you may only find the container the Object was in, please sign the log so at least we know you searched for it. I would suggest you bring your own pen as well; they tend to disappear with the Objects. If you do find the Object, consider it a souvenir for now, but protect it well.
