Geocache Description:

This is the first in hopefully a series of railroad themed caches highlighting places both current and historical along Northern Indiana railroads.

"Lined for the 1100"

This is something you might hear if you are tuned to the Norfolk Southern's Huntington District Dispatcher on a radio scanner. The "1100" is the 1100 Switch, located just to the west of the road crossing near this cache. The 1100 Switch connects the Huntington District with the GM assembly plant located a couple miles south of GZ. If you stay here long enough, you will mostly likely see trains pulling long strings of autoracks east toward the NS yard in New Haven, for forwarding to points east and west. Trains will indicate that they are lined for the 1100 if they are destined to come off of the Huntington District and head toward the yard at the assembly plant.

Cache is a magnetic key holder. There is a little pull-off just to the east of GZ. BYOP
