Geocache Description:

You are looking for a magnetic key holder. Cache contains logbook only, so please bring something to write with.

This is a series of caches placed at or near GPs that I visit every afternoon. I'm a medical motorcycle courier and collect all manner of samples that I take back to a lab in Heston.

Teddington Memorial Hospital is a small community hospital that provides a range of services including:
a NHS walk-in centre
a diagnostics department (including x-ray and ultrasound)
two wards with beds for inpatient rehabilitation
a number of outpatient clinics including physiotherapy.

A point of interest at the hospital is the clock. The clock has been a feature of Teddington Memorial hospital’s roof since the Hospital was built in 1928, when it was presented to the Hospital by Ernest Parrent (nephew of Mrs May) of Marie Lodge, Oxford Road, Teddington, in memory of the May family who were Nursery (Horticulturists) of Connaught Road, Teddington – thought to be in the year 1900/1910. The clock stood in Connaught Road halfway between Wellington and Kings Road on Nursery ground and there was a bell attached which was rung each morning to summon nurserymen and others to work. When the clock was subsequently donated to the Hospital, it had a different mechanism installed.
The clock would have fallen into an irreparable state within a very short time as there were no plans to
refurbish it. The League of Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital took the view that this would be a
great loss to the people of the area and that a piece of Teddington history could be lost forever. So in
2009 the clock was refurbished and repaired by funds raised by the League.

You do not need to enter the hospital grounds to find this cache - it can be easily retrieved and replaced from the pavement.
Be very stealthy, and please look out for vehicles leaving the hospital. Especially motorcycle couriers that might be running late ;)
