Geocache Description:


The Golden Way / Helicon Drive intersection was considered in need of traffic lights to reduce the number and severity of right angle crashes.

They say motorists travelling east along the Golden Way intending on turning left into BP would indicate appropriately and the motorists waiting to turn onto the Golden Way would enter the intersection assuming the east traveling car would be entering Helicon Drive.

The resultant crashes saw the need for an upgrade to the intersection.

The $600,000 works were funded by the State Governments Black Spot Program.

The lights were turned on in October 2011.

This cache is another of our nanos so again bring your own pen for initials only and also maybe a toothpick.
