This is a great place to bring the kids and dogs and let them explore. You never know what sort of birds and water fowl you'll see. One day I was surprised to find a large flock of beautiful swans resting on their way south for the winter. Gorgeous!
The cache is located along a very rough but level trail beside the lake. Bring your snake stick and watch for rattlers in the warm months. I mean it. Really. And don't go sticking your hands into dark holes, either.
This cache was replaced Oct 1, 2017. I was disappointed to find the area really torn up, with rocks strewn around, and assume it was the work of previous unsuccessful geocachers. :( NO NEED TO DISMANTLE ANYTHING! Please leave the area in nice condition for other geocachers and lake visitors.
