We are “Tepuy team” and we would like to welcome you to our secret hideout, some times we come to this place to ponder new adventures as well to share some father and son geo time.
I am Auyantepuy those of you that do not know me I am from Venezuela therefore my caching name, it means "Devil's Mountain", is the most visited and famous tepui (table-top mountain) in Venezuela. It is one of the largest (but not the highest) tepuis with an area of 700 km² in the Guayana Highlands and is located in the Gran Sabana region in Bolivar State. From this tepui the Angel Falls are born, being the highest waterfall in the world, drops from a cleft near the summit. The falls are 979 meters (3,212 ft) high, with an uninterrupted descent of 807 meters (2,648 ft). Angel Falls is more than 19 times higher than Niagara Falls. One day soon I would love to hike this enigmatic place of our Planet Earth.
My son Autanatepuy it is 100% US made lol, and with him I feel like there is a new beginning and hope for the human race as he makes me feel like there are no flags or senseless nationalisms that has our dear planet the way it is today. He is not gringo or Venezuelan or Colombian he is a child of the Earth as we all shall be one day.
His caching name means “the tree of life”, this one is a spectacular tepui located in the Amazonas state in Venezuela. It stands 1,220 m (4,000 f) above sea level. A unique cave runs from one side of the mountain through the other. He is only 2 years old as of now (Feb 2012). I decided to pick this very unique name because he represents my new life and hopefully a new hope for a new generation of mankind in which we finally realize that we are here to take care of our planet and not to take advantage of it.
We both enjoyed many geo adventures together some 5* some 1* terrain, we also have the same loving care for Mother Nature and it just water my eyes every time we pass by a place that has lots of trees and my son screams at me in Spanish “Mira monte vamos” (look the woods lets go) now you see why he is so special to me.
We are a team, as caching without him is not as fun; I hope that one day soon when I am not too old we both can enjoy the swamp together as father and son being one with Nature. Enjoy our hide as believe it or not he was the one the hid this one with his own little hands.

Tepuy team thanks you for coming by and enjoying our cache. Happy and safe trails to all.
