Geocache Description:

Been traveling this stretch of KS Hwy 140 to Kanopolis Lake more in the past 2 months as of this writing than in the almost 20 years I've been in Kansas. Been going to Kanopolis Lake to do some geocaching and hiking.

Anyway, each time I pass by this particular spot of lonely highway, it would scream: "Place a cache here!!!!" So, today while en route to the lake for some hiking, finally got around to placing a cache.

The particular area that you will be searching at is a road-side turn-off, may have been a rest area at one time. That is what it reminds me of.

There is plenty of room to park safely away from traffic. There is a barb wire fence close by but there is NO reason to cross over any fences.

Though cache was placed in February, there were no signs of critters or ticks, that will definitely change in warmer weather. There are plenty of vines, especially the hairy kind that hug the ground. Poison Ivy will most likely be in the area as well.

Container that you will be searching for is an aluminum TUBE roughly 8" L x 3" W.

UPDATE: April 12, 2014 - Original hiding location has changed a bit, but coordinates still good. Found a snapping turtle guarding GZ.
