Geocache Description:

You Are Here, Dept

South end of Lee Road North

From here Lee Road vanishes below Struve Slough and becomes a road for ducks to travel. The slough is home to a great variety of wildlife and is a cacophony of tree frogs in the spring. The East Branch of Struve Slough was crossed by Harkins Slough Road, on the other side of Highway 1, and was driveable only late in the year, when water had drained away. Once I waded along Harkins Slough Road, across the Struve Slough when I wanted to get to the other side. Now there is a new bridge and the old road bed is history. Will that happen here? I doubt it very much.

Please note: This is a highly scenic location for photography. I strongly urge bringing a camera, particularly one with a telephoto lens. You never know what will be out here in terms of wildlife, but you will most certainly be kicking yourself if you miss a great opportunity for some bird, dragonfly or other wildlife photos.
