Geocache Description:

This historic place needed a cache. See accompaning web page for the history and some awesome old pictures.

The Mohawk Valley Stewardship Council has acquired the property and will start renovating the pool area first. For more info on the project and the latest updates on this renovation their website is at:

South of the house and pool, and south of a draining creek that goes under the highway is a field area. The cache is not in the field, it is in a forested area not far from the creek mentioned. Today when cache was placed, the field was very marshy in spots with water draining down the hill towards the road. If there is a lot of snow melt or rain you probably will get wet and muddy. Suggest going up into the tree area from the driveway/parking area then across to the cache if the field is bad.

PLEASE Do Not go anywhere north of the creek area towards the pool and surrounding property.

Rehide/recover the cache well.
