An interesting rest stop overlooking a significant Maori Wetland on the South Head Road, Kaipara
We passed this rest stop and it looked interesting enough to us to turn around and stop and explore. There are lots of information signs explaining the view, the wetlands, the flora, fauna and birdlife that can be seen from this spot. Perfect spot for a picnic, room for the kids to have a run around to break the journey. Plenty of parking to be safely off the road. This spot was too nice not to have a cache placed here. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. The Cache is a small camo mint container. At the time of placement it contained: Log Sheet/stash note. Silica (please don't eat)A couple of small swaps and TB.
