This is one of a series of caches to celebrate the Great Western Railway, affectionately known as 'God's Wonderful Railway'. This is your chance to release your inner 'anorak' and go trainspotting, feel free to wear that 'Parka' that's been hanging in the wardrobe for decades!
The country station was a very important part of rural life years ago, providing a means of sending and receiving goods, livestock, mail etc as well as personal travel. Stations like this one at Staverton came under the axe in the 1960's of the dreaded Dr Beeching (The Devil incarnate), as British Rail tightened it's purse strings and more goods were starting to be transported on the government's 'new baby'- motorways.
Stealth will be needed to claim this cache, so any distraction you can think of will help. Please re-hide well.
Cache is a bison.
