Geocache Description:


This cache is not at the posted coordinates, but the starting point of a Davis Bike Loop video IS.

There are a LOT of caches on the Davis Bike Loop. I don't know how many. It might be 72. Oops, someone just placed another one. Better make that 73. At the posted coordinates, you can see on the light post the four-character code beginning with W. After all, the light post is only 17 feet away. Drop the W and you're left with a 3-digit number. For this offset cache, note that the final location is at N 38° 3N.NNN W 121° 4W.WWW. For N.NNN, take the three-digit number from the post and multiply it by 852. For W.WWW, take the three-digit number from the post and multiply it by 2347. For each result, keep only the four rightmost digits and divide by 1000. The cache is a camo'ed pill bottle about 1000 feet from the Davis Bike Loop. Have fun, and bring something with which to write!
