Geocache Description:

I hiked this trail and loved it so much I came back the next day to place this cache with hopes of sharing it with fellow geocachers.

The Alder Trail is a great trail for when you want some elevation change, but don't have all day for a long trek. Take some time to read each of the signs- they tell some interesting info about the uniqueness of the area.
My favourite sign is "A Force Against Fire", which is a bit further SE on the trail. It tells about the natural forest cycle that occurs after a forest fire. At what stage in the process do you think the forest around you is in?

It's a fabulous Winter walk. When I placed this cache, there were multiple moose track crossings, as well as deer prints, and now even some Catfishrah prints!

Parking coordinates are provided, or you can park in the Bragg Creek Provincial Park lot on the West side of the road, which adds a pleasant 500M each way. Yes, this means there is a road crossing, but it is a marked crosswalk and the limit is 40 Km/h.

Deer bed near the cache site :)
