Geocache Description:

As many geocachers know, this hobby is very addicting…kind of like my morning cup of coffee. If I don’t have my morning cup of joe, I start to itch. Same goes for caching if I don’t get out now and then. Recently, this also applies to hiding caches. I really enjoy reading people’s logs after finding (or not finding) my caches. The other day I started to get that itch, but I didn’t know what to do.

My wife calls me a “dork” for being so addicted to geocaching. However, I am very lucky because even though she isn’t a fan, she smiles when she sees how excited I get about a new cache. This weekend she went to the store to pick up a few things, and she came home with a small bag. She called Aubs, gave her the bag and said, “Give this to daddy…say daddy, here’s a present!” Aubs walked up to me and hands me the bag and said, “Here you pwesent, daddy!” Then my wife said, “Happy Valentine’s Day, Dork!” with a big smile. I opened the small bag and found a some matchstick holders and a variety pack of colored tape. My face lit up and she knew I loved the gift, but this sent my body into an itchy frenzy and I had to scratch it immediately.

I thanked her, ran to the garage to get my cache tackle box, let the dog jump in the car and headed to a park I thought might have a good place for a hide. Stubby ran around in the field while I scoped out a few spots. I found two possibilities really quick. Stubby and I ran back to the car, took out my gift from my wife and made a cache in the parking lot. We ran back, tried the first spot…seemed O.K., but not good enough for me. I tried the second spot and liked it much better. I hid the cache, got some coordinates, and here I am finishing the last step. Getting ready to Submit!

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! I feel so much better now!

You are looking for a camo-taped matchstick holder in Pedersen Park. Don’t go looking after dark. Bring your own signature utensil.

NOTE: There is a time capsule in the area. The geocache you are looking for is not by the tree the time capsule is next to.

Congrats to Drank for his 3rd FTF on my caches.
