The path surface ranges from tarmac to very wet mud, so wellies are recommended during wet weather. The path is well marked. There are a few stiles, some of which are dog-friendly. At different times of the year there are sheep and horses in the fields.
After WHW 8, follow the indistinct path across the field to the Road Junction waypoint. Then turn right and walk down the lane towards WHW 9.
You are looking for a camo-painted micro.
