This roadside, ever-flowing spring has been here as long as I can remember. People come and fill containers with the water and hopefully, they are not drinking it! We have "tested" the water and the results show nasty bacteria...
There is lots of water in the area. The stream down the road begins in a marsh immediately to the north and Matthews Lake is just over the hill to the east. Wilder Lake is a few minutes north-east. And finally, the Beatty Saugeen River is less than a km west.
When you visit this cache, chances are you will be greeted by the resident canine. He either barks or just lays there watching the activity.
