The Chadron Arts Center grew out of a town hall meeting in 1990 when the community suggested that the old St. Patrick's Church building be preserved as a community arts center. A group of civic-minded people joined forces to write a constitution and bylaws and then formed a non-profit corporation.
The purpose of the Chadron Arts Center is to provide and maintain a place to nurture, exhibit and promote community artistic talents, area attractions and professional offerings; to provide and maintain a place available for receptions, class reunions, family gatherings, holiday parties and celebrations.
