Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the published co-ordinates.

I dare you to do this at night!

On an early January morning in 1840, Mable Swift, 23, was on her way to Great Horwood to post a letter to her young love, a soldier serving in China during the second Opium War, using the new fangled penny black postage stamp. She never arrived. She'd risen early and breakfasted. She left Bungalow Farm in Singleborough just before dawn on the 18th with letter in hand. She walked down the road to this spot. Who her assailant was has never been discovered. Her mutilated body was found by the village post boy going about his rounds the blood spattered letter still clutched in her lifeless hand. The Buckinghamshire Constabulary were notified and investigations where made but no sign of the perpetrator could be found. That, you may think, would have been the end of it. However Mable is still with us; granted in spirit only but there she is. On a dark night you may hear her screams. She haunts the spot where her last breath was drawn. Some say she waits for her love to return. I must confess to being a little bit spooked while placing this cache.

This cache is placed in memory of Mable Swift Feb 12th 1815 to Jan 18th 1840. May she rest in peace

On to the cache. The published co-ordinates are the starting point for your journey. This is no ordinary cache though. You will need to establish the final co-ordinates. All you need to find the co-ordinates are on this cache page. I have not given this a 5 difficulty because I don't think it rates it. The terrain is deserved and you will need specialist equipment but I'm not telling you what.

As this is going to be a particularly challenging cache it might be nice for some feedback. Positive or negative it's all welcome. As an extra incentive any logs with "TFTC" or similar WILL BE DELETED. Happy caching.
