Geocache Description:

15 minute hike to a beautiful canyon near the petroglyphs. Full of great toys for kids of all ages.

This is our first hide, so we really chocked this ammo box full of amazing swag. It contains around 50 assorted items: toys, crystals, shells, mala, necklace, picture frame, etc. Some very good swag here folks. * PLEASE….remember the rule that if you take something, leave something of EQUAL or GREATER value. Let’s make the great prizes last for the kids! *

This is a great little hike in a canyon near the La Cieneguilla petroglyph site. We call it the coyote cache because we’ve seen a coyote here before and found a big coyote tooth not far from where the cache is stowed. This special location hasn’t always been treated with such care. We’ve found trash and shotgun shells here, so please help beautify by caching in and trashing out. It’s still a truly lovely hike, and safe for kids. We’ve been taking our 6-year old here for years.

This is about a 15 minute hike from the La Cieneguilla petroglyph parking lot, Take the main trail till it comes to a T. Make a right past the tin-can tree, then go through the gate in the fence. From here you can access the cache from a number of different routes. Up and over is the fastest. Or you can turn left and follow the trail along the fence until you get to the first canyon on your right. Enjoy the hike and views!
