Geocache Description:

  • Located in a bushy part of a prairie with lots of deer paths to follow leading you near the cache.

  • TEMPORARILY REMOVED FOR MAINTENANCE. ALSO THE FOREST IS ON FIRE TODAY (3/28/2013) AND DIDN'T WANT THIS CLASSIC TO MELT.
  • This cache is a 4" PVC pipe that is about 12" long and painted gloss black with a red removable cap on one end. The wing nut only has to be loosened to remove the lid. Inside you will find a zip lock bag with a log book. Enter your hike in the log book.
  • There are two locations to park at both being the same distance from the cache. First is at Spear Woods on LaGrange Road located at N41 43.780 and W087 51.175. The second is located at Willow Springs Woods on Willow Springs Road located at N41 43.705 and W087 52.375.
  • Here is a little extra challange. You can use common trails to get near the cache. A single deer path can lead within about 50 to 75 feet west of the cache. You will have to do some off trail work. Due to previous vandals, we had to up the difficulty and move it to another prairie.
  • Please take care to place the cache back into its hidden home so them vandals do not find it again. Thanks! Jay-Cin
