Geocache Description:

BYOP!! Cache contains log book and small trade items. You do not need to remove the whole container. You only need to unlatch it and take out the log. Please make sure latch is tight when you replace it.

This is a roadside park, so access should be relatively easy. Enjoy the view to the northwest while you are checking out the historical marker.

WAGON BED SPRINGS

About two miles west of here were the Lower Springs of the Cimarron River, known today as Wagon Bed Springs. For early day travelers on the famous Santa Fe Trail, the springs were an "oasis" in dry weather. In nearby areas, trail ruts can still be seen, left by the many wagons that traversed the trail.
