Geocache Description:

This is one of several caches Q125 Mesquite Geocache Challenge placed within the City of Mesquite as one of the many events throughout the year to help celebrate Mesquite’s Quasquicentennial: A year-long event to foster a pride of community, as well as develop an appreciation for Mesquite’s history.

This is a 304.00 acre site of the Mesquite Girls’ Softball Complex. This complex consists of 4 lighted softball fields, 2 lighted hockey courts, a concession & restroom building, a large pavilion, and a playground. On two sides of the fields is large un-improved park land with several trails for walking with signs of vehicle activity. General hours (estimated) of operation for the fields during the baseball season. Difficulty is rated a 2 inpart due to changing coordinates on fly. You will need to collect the unique code number inside this geocache to claim the Q-125 Geocache Challenge prize. We would like to extend our thanks to TeamOxford for archiving one caches so that this Q-125 cache could be placed in a cooperative effort between the Historical Preservation Office/Historic Mesquite Inc. and Mesquite Parks and Recreation. Thank you. Each of the stages are not but 15 to 20 feet off the path - which path is for the cacher to determine. Observation to water has ways around. Overall Terrain rating of applies to stage 3. Trail can be muddy and holding water during/after rain. WARNING: This cache has 7 stages and it is approximately one mile hike through weeds, around water and mud holes. Therefore, be prepared for the hike. Bring water, bug spray and a walking stick might help. Always look around and be aware of your surroundings because there are snakes, ticks, red bugs and other wildlife in the park.
