Geocache Description:

This is another one of my POI caches. The cache should be fairly easy to find for a quick grab.
The info on the marquee is about the Colorado Frontier Pathways. Please beware that mugglers could by lurking, so stealth may be required at times.
Please return the cache container to it’s out of sight location.
There is a TB in the cache for the FTF to move along.

All-Aboard Westcliffe is an all volunteer organization that is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of the early railroading history of the area. Between 1900 and 1902 the Denver & Rio Grande RR brought the first standard gauge railroad line to this spot. At that time the nearby town of Silver Cliff was a booming mining community. This rail line terminated 1 mile from the city limits of Silver Cliff and became the center of what became the town of Westcliffe. The Denver & Rio Grande RR serviced this area until 1937.

Welcome to the Wet Mountain Valley. There is a lot to see and do while you are here.
Enjoy the view and our high mountain community, and don’t forget the other caches in the area.
“ Happy Caching. “

Congratulations to Cx4 for the FTF.
