This will be held at the coordinates above at 9:00 am CST on April 14, 2012.The event is a contest for all cachers to display their talents in a Creative Cache. Caches will be registered from 9:00 am until 9:30 am. At which time the caches will be displayed and all cachers and friends will have time to view and vote on their favorite creative caches. The voting will end at 11:30 am. At which time the votes will be counted and the winners will be announced. There will be prizes for First, Second and Third place. The prizes range from two nights in a cabin at Lakepoint Resort to two nights camping at state park (No holiday weekends & provided there is availability – all details will be given with the prizes). Now is the change to show the geocaching community how creative you can be.
There will also be some other events this same weekend associated with this kickoff. Be sure to look for these and join us in the fun. Lakepoint Resort State Park has many lodging options for those staying the weekend. The park is offering discounts for lodging for those attending the geocaching events, be sure to ask about it.
