After picking up our new-to-geocaching team member and looking for some hides on our way down the road, we noticed that for some reason the caches that we just downloaded a few minutes before were not showing up on our GPS. I could swear I saw them on the online map all along this road.
Along the way, after slightly passing a prospective place for a hide in this (seemed to be) newly restored area, I stopped the car and backed up to a parking area just across the road. We checked out the surrounding area to get some quick ideas for this one. Then we went back to the car and rummaged through our box of geogoods and found a plastic mayo jar all ready to go.
Yeah, I’m not fond of this type of hide myself, so we wanted to make it easy enough (hopefully) to avoid a frustrated DNF. I like the bigger containers so all the SWAG can go in and out of it easily.
