End of the Trail Traditional Cache
Marcas_Found: We're starting the process of reviewing our caches, deciding which to keep up and running and which ones to archive before leaving the island. I never liked the idea of putting a micro in the woods but that's all I had on me when I created this one. Some critters keep pushing this one out of hits hiding spot as well, so it's time to archive.

While caching along the Maunawili demonstration trail, this side trail caught my attention. After some exploration, it screamed out for a geocache. All I had in my pack were micros so that is what I hid (yes, I know, a micro in the woods, foreshame!....but it's an easy, urban hide, I promise!)
Note: No need to bushwhack! Follow the trail to the posted side trail coords!
The closest approach is from the Waimananlo end of the Maunawili trail. The trailhead to this side trail starts just where the Maunawili trail intersects a private road. The first part of the side trail is a little bit of a leg burner. You will gain 120 feet in elevation in just over 210 feet of distance. There is a rope to help you up but is not really needed when the trail is dry. Someone has gone through considerable effort to cut steps into the clay all the way up. Once on top, turn left and head for the furthest set of poles (a little up and down along the way) and a great view of Maunawili Valley, Mount Olomana's back side, Waimanalo and the Pacific Ocean, all from one spot!
