crkayaker: I think it's time to archive this cache. I don't want it confusing people coming to Paulboy's event that's coming up in two weeks at a nearby venue. Once again I'd like to thank everyone who came and made this event such a great success. I'm so pleased that no trackables got stuck here forever as often happens at events. Thanks to everyone who picked up a trackable, logged it and moved it along on its journey.

Geocache Description:

I thought it was about time we had an event up at this end of the island and what better time to have it than at the start of spring. It's time to dust off the old GPSr and the hiking shoes and get back out on the trails. Well...of course there are those diehards who keep going right through the rain and the snow.

Come out and have a bite to eat while you visit with your geocaching friends.

Place: Woody's Bar-B-Q restaurant in Willow Point. Date: Sunday, March 25
Time: 12:00 to 2:00

This is a family restaurant so children are welcome. Please let me know how many are coming so I can give the restaurant an idea of numbers to expect. If you want to check out the menu here is the link: here

New to Geocaching? This is a great opportunity to meet the people behind the names you see on the cache pages and in the logbooks. Have a question about a cache you just can't seem to find? This is your chance to talk to the cache owner or at least someone who's found it. Please come and join us. We would love to meet you and try to answer any questions you may have.

If you have any interesting TBs or geocoins you want to share or trade please bring them along.

As has become the habit at many events, we will have a voluntary gift exchange - so if you would like to participate, simply bring a wrapped or bagged geo-themed gift with the value of $5.00 to $10.00 and join in on the fun.

This is my first event. I hope to see you all there. I'm hoping to rustle up a few new caches to put out for the event. *Updated update: I've hidden 15 caches for the event. Also...I have some items for a prize draw.

I'm really pleased to announce that Let's Go Caching from Comox are sponsoring the event. They will be setting up a display of some of the items they sell so that people can see them. They are an online company only so they won't be selling anything at the event but if you want to go to their website and order and pay for any items they will bring them.
