Cavenham Heath NNR
Cavenham Heath National Nature Reserve lies on the south side of the River Lark, near Mildenhall. Natural England maintains the three specific habitats that are seen, these being woodland, heathland and wetland.
Note, it is best to approach the reserve from the Tuddenham direction. The reserve has several areas for parking, with the official one noted as a Waypoint on cache "Cavenham Heath [1] - Woodland Trail [1]".

The whole series, including the Bonus, if following the same route I took when laying them, is 8.5 km / 5.25 miles.

The placement of this cache series has been made possible by kind permission of Natural England. This reserve has hundreds of plant species, a wide variety of birds and other animals. Respect the site and take note of the etiquette below.

Reserve etiquette
Please keep to the marked paths.
However tempting, please do not take shortcuts across areas that are not marked paths.
The reserve has a number of adder breeding areas and this should give good enough of a hint that staying to the path for your own safety is a good idea!! If you do decide to lift up something to look for a cache, please do so with care.

On access land, dogs on fixed short lead between 1 Mar and 31 Jul.
Dogs on leads at all times near livestock.

Heathland Trail
This is a circular walk starting from the car park.
Along this part of the overall Cavenham Heath series, there is 1 waypoint with a specific question that needs to be answered. This answer will be used to work out the coordinates of the Bonus cache.

Route Directions
Having come in through the gate to the Heathland Trail from the track, head south to GZ. There is a lot of tree cover here, so gps may be jumpy.
At the time of setting this cache there were 80 or so sheep in the heathland trail enclosure, please be aware of this.

Cache
Black 35mm film container.
Please replace as found.
