If a woodchuck could chuck wood. Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Be cautious of drive by muggles that may spot you. Parking in park area.

The woodchuck also known as the "groundhog" or "whistle pig" are one of Pennsylvania's most widely distributed mammals. Woodchucks are burrowing members of the squirrel family. Woodchucks are medium-sized, chunky, ground-dwelling squirrels.

Woodchucks have brown coarse hair with black feet, short legs and ears. Its forefeet have long curved claws for digging burrows. They have incisor teeth or the first four front teeth that grow continually and must be worn down when feeding or else the tooth will grow to a length that injures the animal.

The woodchuck lives in self dug burrows usually on an incline slope located at the edge of a field, pasture or brushy hedgerows. The opening to a burrow is usually 10 to 12 inches in diameter.

Woodchucks feed on soft leafy vegetation and can climb trees but usually are only spotted on low branches. They may also gnaw woody stems or trees, primarily in spring.

Keep an eye open, your bound to see one in this location.
