STUCK With A Flat Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Skookum Bear: As the cache owner has not indicated that they have visited the cache location to replace it if it was missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within a reasonable amount of time, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities. If the cache owner would like to replace a cache at this location, please submit a new geocache listing and it will be reviewed under the current Geocaching guidelines.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply - your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ether instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Geocache Description:

This is 1 of 21 caches in the 'Stuck' series along a loop route in the Thompson Okanagan. You are in the Canadian Desert so as always, be aware for ticks, snakes and bears. Bring a writing stick.

“STUCK” With A Flat
This cache is located near the community of Dallas. If there ever was the perfect spot to get a flat, this would be it! This cache is found a short trip off the loop on Lafarge Road, accessible from either direction, with good parking where you can use your vehicle for cover.

The “STUCK” in a Thompson/Okanagan Loop Series
This series includes twenty one roadside “Stuck” caches hidden along a highway loop that travels through the Thompson/Okanagan. All the caches will have the word “STUCK” at the beginning of the title. They are all easy and can be done at any time of the year. You can take the journey in either direction as the caches are located on both sides of the highways. In some cases we will specify which direction is easiest and safest to access the parking area. Take as many days as you like to complete the loop, although it is possible to do it in one long day. Enjoy your trip though the Thompson/Okanagan!

The Loop
To describe the loop, we have decided to start in Westbank/West Kelowna and travel north along Highway 97. You will go through Kelowna, Lake Country and Vernon before turning and following Highway 97 through Falkland, Westwold and Monte Creek. When you reach the TransCanada Highway, travel west through Dallas and Kamloops, then turn south on Highway 5A. Take this scenic drive, careful of Transport Trucks, to Merritt. Follow the 5A/97C to the turn for the 5A taking you into Princeton. Now travel east on Highway 3 through Hedley, Keremeos and Cawston before descending back into the Okanagan Valley at Osoyoos. Take Highway 97 north through Oliver, Okanagan Falls, Penticton, Summerland and Peachland before completing the loop back in Westbank/West Kelowna.
