This cache is our annual “Othum Friendly” Cache!

The Wolverine was originally launched in September 1973, a part of the Oglebay Norton Company fleet.
It became a part of the Wisconsin and Michigan Steamship Company fleet in 2006. Once again the boat changed hands in 2008 to the Lower Lakes fleet, and renamed to Robert S. Pierson, in which it sails today.
The boat is a straight-deck self un-loader bulk carrier. The Boat is 630 feet in length and has a maximum load capacity of 19,650 tons. It is powered by 2 V16 cylinders, 2,800 horsepower diesel engines.
