The Yankcanuck was originally launched in January 1963, a part of the Yankcanuck Steamship fleet.
It became a part of the Purvis Marine fleet in 2006.
The boat is a steel hauler with a level-luffing, heavy duty crane.
The Boat is just over 324 feet in length and has a maximum load capacity of 4,685 tons. It is powered by a 8 cylinder, 1,860 horsepower diesel engine.
