littleblkdog noticed that there is a serious lack of letterbox caches in this area. So she decided to put this one out for people to enjoy.
She had the cheese and food lady make a special stamp for her cache. She also requested a special custom-made, one of a kind FTF prize as well.
There is a stamp log for you to mark your personal letterbox stamp in (or just sign the log if you don't have one or want to stamp). There is also a homemade letterbox stamp to record this cache in your personal stamp log. This is a traditional letterbox so please leave the stamp and black ink pad with the cache.
Parking is available on Polished Stone and a short walk from the trailhead. See waypoints for more info. Some bushwhacking is required but only about 50 yards. Follow the trail down along the white blazes across the small stream. About half way to the river you will begin to cut right off the trail and start bushwhacking.
This cache is meant to be kid friendly and littleblkdog left plenty of new swag. The trail can be a little rough so keep an eye on everyone. We don't want anybody falling down the hill. As always you are responsible for your own safety.
littleblkdog was fascinated by the beavers here. She found lots of beaver sign. She didn't see any beavers but expended quite a bit of energy looking for them.
