Geocache Description:

Sparta Illinois has a beautiful airport. It has one hard surface runway and one grass runway. It is a City owned airport in a great community. There is a pavilion where locals and others come by to watch the airplanes and paragliders. A great place for a picnic.

I have recently started Geocaching with some Pilot friends. We noticed that Sparta, IL did not have any caches and decided to remedy that situation. My friend BTracy got me into GeoCaching by flying around to smaller towns, landing and searching. It combines two loves, flying and hiking. Another pilot friend Lateralg helped me place this one. We wanted to bring more people to the airport where we keep our planes, and show off what a great place it is.

The FTF will get to move the micro travel bug I placed in the container.
