Geocache Description:

Could be a quick park and grab or maybe not. Problem getting coords correct so don't look too long without the hint. Micro cache with log only so BYOP!

The Twin City Opera House opened on Saturday May 28, 1892. All 800 seats available were sold out. Railroad excursions were arranged to bring guests from all the towns around. Arion Opera Company performed Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Mikado". The Opera House was the first building in the county to have electric lights. However at the time of the opening the generating plant failed and all went dark. While they hurried to get gas lamps etc to light the halls many of the 800 guests left so the opening was not as grand as it was predicted to be but the show did go on. At one time there were supposedly tunnels under the building. These have been filled in for safety purposes. Also in later construction a hidden stairway was found. Stories have it that an Usher is haunting the Opera House to this day. For more infornation on this wonderul landmark check out the web. A lot of hisotry here and wonderful stories. You may even want to check out the Opera House itself by attending a movie presented on weekends. Interesting place. Placed with permission of Police Officer which I think will become a geocacher soon. LOL Coords are hard to get correct in this location as all the buildings and electric lines, did the best I could. Hint is supplied for this reason. There is a website about the hauntings of the Opera House you can check out if you like,
