This is cache 3 in the Leicester Olimpick Ring. Five caches, five different puzzle setters, five different areas and a bonus cache. This puzzle cache is not at the above co-ordinates.
"The Cotswold Olimpick Games" have been held in Chipping Campden from 1612 onwards (visit link) ) , and have featured pastimes far more interesting than the modern spectacle of svelte people in lycra moving really fast .Proper English sports , ones you can do in sensible clothes with minimal training and with the beverage of your choice close at hand . Sports where an absence of athleticism may not be a handicap , and total beginners stand a reasonable chance of success . Puzzle cache solving should therefore , in our opinion , be an olimpick event.
This cache takes its’ inspiration from Dwile Flonking. The pastime of Dwile Flonking involves two teams, each taking a turn to dance around the other while attempting to avoid a beer-soaked dwile (cloth) thrown by the non-dancing team. The rules of the game are impenetrable and the result is always contested.
To investigate the rules further the task was given to a member of the British Forces. Flt. Lt. North set off on his journey. Arriving, with all due speed in Hanover he found a connection to Berlin. By gradual degrees he realised that he might need to go to Eindhoven. He kept reminding himself what the point of the exercise was. He considered where to go next but nothing came to mind until he realised there might be something to be gained by adding Goslar and Hilden together. His trip was to no avail. He still couldn't understand the impenetrable rules.
He called his counterpart Squadron Lead Mark West who suggested they went to Bad Oeynhausen. This did give them a degree of the rules, but nothing in any great detail. From here they travelled on to Hamburg. They then caught the next flight to Dusseldorf and on to Sylt. At which moment they realised they knew what to do.
However, do you?
