Pacmania: I don't get out this way much anymore for maintenance. It's been almost 10 years, so a good run. Thanks to all the finders...

Geocache Description:

Illalong creek is a nice area on an old road, probably most famous for being the childhood home of Andrew Barton (Banjo) Paterson.

The Illalong station, which was owned then managed by his parents, was his home from the age of 5 to 10, after which he attended school in Sydney. The property is just the other side of the road bridge.

Paterson's early life here provided much material for his many poems and is also described in his book 'Illalong Children'.

The cache is on a track off the road. The best place to park is near the bridge. It appears some cachers have been driving down the track! Please don't do this - its not too far to walk!
