Geocache Description:

A simple cache at an older shopping center on I-55.

The shopping center is the former home to KMart and Chuck E Cheese. KMart moved to a new building at Beasley Road around 1989 (the supercenter later closed) while Chuck E Cheese moved to a new building at the former On the Border on Ridgewood Court Drive in 2010. Big Lots opened here, but moved to the former Circuit City in 2014. The area is seeing some new signs of life. Mr. Chen's, Northern Tool, and Save A Lot opened i 2012-2013. The old Perkins burned down and sat as an empty parcel for well over 10 years before a Luby's/Fuddruckers was built in its place. Parking for the restaurants spills over into the shopping center parking lot. The old light poles are remnants of the former Perkins. The poles were spruced up and painted when Northern Tool moved in.

The degree of difficulty is higher than usual due to extra work needed to extract the cache and the extra stealthiness required.

Congratulations to Wareagle59 for the FTF!
