The cache is placed on the Tarka Trail. The path is level, asphalted and easy to walk or cycle. Parking is available in Instow which is a short walk from the cache site, or can be found as part of a longer walk on the Tarka Trail.
The Tarka Trail is a disused railway track which has been turned into a long distance footpath/cycleway. Instow is the village close to this area of the Trail and from the village there are ways to get onto the path, in addition to the well known disused level crossing gates, on Marine Parade, near to the old signal box. Parking is available along the front, in Instow, limited to 2 hours at a time in July and August.
