Geocache Description:

This is a walk around the derelict RAF airfield of Finmere. It is now better know for it's Sunday Market and Carboot Sale. Microlights still fly.

You are looking for a round camouflaged plastic tub.

Can be done as a cache and dash.

FTF goes to Tinyizback (Thank you and Congratulations)

A landing ground for RAF Blenheims from nearby 13 OTU at Bicester was established here in 1941, but it was not until August 1942 that it was a fully established satellite for Bicester. The airfield is of a curious layout due to the two main roads on it's boundaries. During 13 OTU's tenure Blenheims, Mitchells, Bostons, Mosquitoes and Tempests. RAF interest in Fimere ended in July 1945 and it gradually began to return to agricultre and local flying.

Look out for the buildings in the trees.
