Jeg har ikke fått noen tilbakemelding på min forrige melding om denne geocachen. På grunn av dette arkiveres denne cacheoppføringen.

Hvis cachen er oppført på andre nettsteder enn geocaching.com, og skal fortsatt være aktiv der, kan cachen bli liggende ute. Ellers er det fint om du fjerner geocachen eller eventuelle rester av den så snart som mulig for å unngå at det ender som søppel.

Geocache Description:

Sjåstad II er den gamle kraftstasjonen på Sjåstad, nå kun en ruin av en bygning. Pass deg for hull i bakke og gulv, så du ikke ender i elva.
Cachen er inne, så koordinatene er til inngangen. Let bak AGGR.

Sjaastad II is the old powerstation at Sjaastad, now its only a ruin. Beware of holes in the ground and in the floor, so that you don't fall into the river.
The cache is inside, so the coordinates are for the entrance. Look behind AGGR.


There has been industry along the Glitre river at Sjaastad for several hundred years. 500 years ago a saw-mill at the nearby waterfall, later on the power from the river was used to run an iron-hammer, and about a hundred years ago power production started at the powerplants Sjaastad I and II.

In the 1978 power production was ended, and the stations left to fall into ruin. Now dense forest has grown across the old paths.

But with rising power-prices companies have applied to restart power-production at Sjaastad II.
