We are trying to spread the geocaching fun to the Telfair area. Our goal is to hide different container and cache types in the area. This goal is proving to be a bit of a challenge, but we're working on it. All of our caches are designed to be kid friendly and not overly challenging to find. Enjoy!
THIS CACHE: Happy Leap Day! This cache was hidden on Leap Day, February 29, 2012 and served as the starting (and hopefully ending) point for our Leap Day Travel Bug, Louie the Leap Frog. You are looking for a regular sized cache container that hopefully blends in well with its natural surroundings.
Although we are still pretty new to geocaching, one thing I have noticed is that larger-sized caches are hard to come by in the urban setting of Houston and its suburbs. We have hidden this cache to help remedy that situation in our own little way. Hopefully it will prove to be long-lived. We will try to keep this cache stocked with swag and we are hoping it might also get the occasional TB visitor or two.
