Geocache Description:

This cache will challenge you both mentally and physically but will reward you with a nice view towards the ocean, creek bellow you and maybe an animal or two, and, hopefully, with a desire to explore this area some more. Specialy nice during sunrise and sunset.

First a few word of caution: Do not attempt at night. Gravel under your feet will roll easily. Long pants are a must, long sleeve help as well as a pillow strapped on your but, just in case

This trail, per my ranger buddy, is what is left of an old Indian trail. Nowadays it is occasionally used by naturalists and bird watchers. As you go further down the trail it becomes more and more overgrown and hard to spot. Be on a watch for those blood-sucking hitch-hikers, I got a couple on my pants-try to avoid stepping or brushing against those grass-bushes. They appear to hold so called tick-clusters.

Along the way, you might question my sanity for placing this cache, or your sanity for attempting to find it. The main idea behind this cache is to bring you into almost untouched nature, and to challenge your navigational skills through the terrain. With a nice reward at the end. Remember when you were in boy scouts?

The cache is slightly oversized bison tube (still just log inside-BYOP), shouldn’t be hard to spot once in close vicinity. FTF price is a blue-light-up pen, and a TB to log (leave it for the next cacher or move it to next cache).

Trailhead is beside power poles at N 32° 56.771 W 117° 10.156

Closest parking is at the end of the Park Village road N 32° 56.333 W 117° 10.125. Parking at the end of Mannix Rd will not work, as the area you would need to cross is closed.
