Geocache Description:


This cache is part of a series intended to showcase Wisconsin’s Rustic Roads (W.R.R.). Wisconsin Legislature established the Rustic Roads program in 1973 to preserve what remains of Wisconsin's scenic, lightly traveled roads.


Rustic Road #109 is the first and, currently, only such road in Oconto County. The narrow 2.2 mile stretch is locally known as Muck Road because it stretches through a low marshland that absorbs spring runoff from the surrounding area and is lined with old mature willow trees and is home to an abundance of wildlife. Please do not park on the roadway and bring your own pen/pencil.
