Monumento creado con el propósito de reconocer la presencia negra en Puerto Rico y fortalecer el conocimiento y el sentido de identidad del los criollos.
El proyecto consta de tres esculturas en bronce, dos bailarines de bomba y un gigantesco músico que toca el tambor.
El mural “Negro con Alas rinde honor a 25 personalidades destacadas de la historia, que representan las aportaciones de afro boricuas en todos los campos del quehacer humano
El negro toca el tambor, sentado sobre una caja frente al rio, tiene una fuente a su espalda y sobresalen sus enormes pies descalzos. A cierta distancia, aparecen otras dos esculturas una negra que baila y otra el negro bailador. El nombre de la escultura es “RITMO”.
