Geocache Description:

Cache # 30. This cache is situated on Upper Taminick Road. This is a dirt road 4kms long that runs between the old Hume Highway near Glenrowan across to Taminick Gap Road near Bailey's Vineyard.


This cache is so-named because there were flocks of White Cockatoos on the road as I was choosing my hiding place. I have ridden my bicycle along this road a few times and each time the scenery takes my breath away. It is especially beautiful when the crops are growing and when the landscape is green and the day is clear. I have been wanting to put a cache here for some time now. Although the cache is not in the perfect spot for the best scenic view the place I was intending had two energetic and noisy dogs close by. However, if you drive the length of this road you will certainly appreciate the scenic landscapes rolling into the distance.

The cache is a decent-sized clip-top container and at the time of placement contained: - a FTF Flag, a PathTag, a Gold Ingot TB, some coins, some swaps and a log book and PEN. Please replace carefully so that it remains well hidden. Thank you. Enjoy.
